Preschool Ministry

Hi! My name is Jennifer Groves and I am the Preschool Coordinator. My passion is preschoolers and their families and I absolutely love what I do!  I have been at Northside since I was in the 6th grade (Jane Tew was my Sunday School teacher).   I thought that at the age of 8 that I got saved but I only did it because my friends went down and all I remember doing is signing a card.  I went through my life until I was 27 years old believing that I was saved.  It was not until I felt the conviction of the Holy Spirit in a church service (yes, your heart beats really fast) and yes, I was one of the ones that waited until the last invitation chorus to come down because I felt somewhat ashamed.  Not ashamed of my God but ashamed that I was leading in ministry, married to my husband who thought I was saved and I didn't even know to whom I belonged to....well I did...it was myself at the time.  Well that night, I got saved for real and every since then, my life, and my outlook on life has never been the same.  I always wonder though how many people are sitting in the pew like me or ministering to people like I did and don't know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Please surrender to Him! 

OUR GOAL

Our birth-Pre-K ministry is the foundation for leading preschoolers in their first steps toward a walk with Christ.  We help families teach concepts of who God is and that He is our creator, that Jesus loves us, that everything in the Bible is true, and that we should love others.  Our ministry is more than just childcare on Sundays and Wednesdays.  From rocking babies to singing with Preschoolers in Preschool choir,we are very intentional in teaching children how awesome our God is!
